District 9400 - Tours
![]() General District 9400 has two main tours planned for the year of exchange, namely the northern tour and the southern tour. The price of both tours includes the following:
Northern Tour (also know as the Mpumalanga Tour) This tour includes highlights within Mpumalanga and the Kruger National Park. The Mpumalanga Panoramic tour consists of visiting places like God’s Window, Bourke’s luck potholes, Pilgrim’s Rest and the Blyde River canyon. The tour includes a visit to 2 mines, viz a diamond mine as well as a gold mine – where the students can pan for gold. Another highlight is camping in the famous Kruger National Park as well as walking with elephants and visiting a wild life rehabilitation centre. This tour normally runs in August for the STEP Northern Hemisphere students and in January for the STEP Southern Hemisphere students. For the LTEP students the tour runs around March. Southern Tour (also known as the Cape Town Tour) This tour is held for LTEP students in November and consists of historical, political and cultural places of interest. The students visit the Kimberley hole, Table Mountain, Robben Island, Cape Point, a township project, Ostrich farm, a wine and cheese estate, Cango Caves, Seal Island and the world famous African (Jackass) Penguins etc. Booking procedure
